Ahra in Vancouver Island

One of my favourite places! Fast - fresh and friendly! We have never been disappointed! Crazy boy is my all time fav!!!! 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Surprised by the high rating. I guess i was expecting a 4.6 restaurant. The service is excessively slow. There were 5 of us and 1 dish at a time came out about 5 to 10 minutes apart. My son did not have food for over 30 minutes from when we got our first dish. Food was good though

Good food small and inexpensive atmosphere

We haven't tried anything we dislike here. It is all excellent. My husband didn't even like miso soup until he tried it here!If we could give it more stars, we would!!

When first walking into this place, it did not look good. It is next to McDonald's and Tim Horton's which is a little off putting but i recommend it highly to anyone who is in the area. The prices are fantastic and the lunch combo is really good. Me in my friends had a really positive experience, it is definitely a hidden gem of Comox! Then tuna nigiri had a really nice texture and great flavor as well, definitely one of my favorite items they serve.

Great food and atmosphere. The service was wonderful and timely. Will definitely come back again for lunch.

Good pricing

Good food and prices. Went there today for a late lunch at 2:07 pm. The waitress smiled at me through the door and flipped the open sign over. Right next to the sign that says open till 2:30pm

BEST sushi in the Comox Valley by far! Food quality and customer service is unmatched. I just wish the store was a little bigger so there was more seating.

Small place with limited seating but the prices were great and the miso soup was even better.

Great food, great service

Very tiny and nice place. Great tempura! Some stuff on the menu is really good (tempura) but others, not so much (the rolls are not worth the money). The prices are comparable to other Sushi restaurants in the area but not the best deal in town. The service is pretty good. The place is not to be avoided though, and we go there to dine in or order takeout sometimes when Sushi Kobo is closed.

Nice little restaurant with very kind and polite staff. Lots of great dishes. My personal favourites are the tempura and the bibimbap(with the spicy sauce). Reasonable prices and very tasty food. Just a bit of advice, go slightly off regular meal hours to improve the odds of getting a table without a long wait.

nice little place - very sizable portions for the amount paid. I thought the pork katsu would be a little cutlet but one gets *a lot* of food!

Ahra is hands down the best sushi place in the comox valley. This little hidden gem on the corner of Guthrie and Anderton, by the tims, has the best prices and great sized portions. I've never found a other place that offered so much food for their price.It's a small place with 6 tables so it doesn't get too rowdy and you can enjoy your meal with who you are with without distractions from other tables. The owners and waiting staff are super friendly and helpful as well.PS: they have the best lunch combos I've ever had. From Vancouver to the Island. If you haven't been here yet, you should make it your next stop. They have a few delicious Korean dishes as well.

What no Sake. No liquor licenseRice a bit starchy for me.Sushi was adequate.Take out was very busy.The 1 person serving was on the phone alot taking calls.

Great service, great food! The pop-za (mini deep fried gyoza) were delicious. They have Korean bibimbap, bulgogi as well.

Great Japanese food

Considering you are in Comox this place is great. The sushi rolls, bibimbap and katsu were all beyond my expectations. The service was very polite and attentive. If you are feeling the need for Korean/Japanese food this place will not disappoint you.

Always delicious! Never had a bad meal. They are so very friendly, make you feel welcome.

It's fresh, hot, tasty and very economical. Seating is limited...my fav sushi restaurant in town...they do reservations as well as take away.
